For all you PPL out there wondering just exactly what a Linux desktop looks like–I’ve put a screenshot of my current setup here:

In this shot, you can see an Xterm window with a transparent background (showing desktop behind) that’s listing current processes running and the file structure of my system; the KDE World Wide Watch map (screw that Sharper Image thing for like $500, this one is free); Yahoo Instant Messenger for UNIX/Linux; and XMMS, the Linux equivalent of Winamp (looks way cooler IMHO).
As you can see, a Linux desktop is not really a bad place to be at all! 🙂
