Valentino Rossi Wins 2002 MotoGP World Championship

Mad props out to Valentino Rossi for winning the 2002 MotoGP World Championship. He finished first in the wet at Rio de Janiero to cinch up an unbeatable points lead over the rest of the field with four rounds remaining in the season.

In other news, 2002 AMA Superbike champ Nicky Hayden has announced that he will be racing for Honda in MotoGP next season. We’ll get to see how the best American rider stacks up against the international competition. I suspect he’s going to get spanked silly.
