I picked up a Blade mQX BNF quadcopter last week and I’ve been having a blast with it ever since. I’ve only got about a dozen flights on it, and very little previous helicopter experience, but it’s so easy and fun to fly that you pick it up really fast.

The video was shot with my super dorky hat-mounted camera and is terrible. I’m just trying to give a blurry glimpse of its agility and sheer fun factor. The music is Babylon Sky by Radikal Guru and is easily the best part about the video. Enjoy

An online acquaintance from Colorado got really into FPV a few years back and is now a true master of the art. He put together a great compilation of his best footage from 2011… check it out, great music, all HD quality, and really just a pleasure to watch.

All of the footage in this video was filmed from a camera onboard one of these multirotor R/C aircraft… it’s very beautiful, and very cool. Enjoy!

Just gave my buddy Alden a ride to lunch on the back of the Surly Big Dummy… on the way back, he was smoking a cigarette and browsing the internet while I pedaled up State Street.

Just a typical day in the life… especially nice weather today, it was about 75 in the sun, there’s a nice swell rolling through, and it was great to get out of the office.

We are the proud new owners of an Onderwaterfiets Family Tandem. Beloved local bike shop Wheelhouse Bikes is going out of business and this bike, which my kids and I had testridden many times, was deeply discounted. So deep that it was a “too good to pass up” type of thing… and here we are, in a brave new world of Dutchbikery. We’re stoked!

I’ve gone “back” to 2010 (old) Freeloader bags after having a few issues with the 2011 (new) Freeloader bags. Just added them, really like how they look and hope they work out great. Big thanks to Xtracycle for some great customer service while sorting through my problems with the stock bags, and for hooking me up with a pair of the old bags when it became clear they’d be the best solution for my needs.
